Finally! Memphis.

Graceland was originally owned by S. E. Toof, a Memphis newspaper editor, and was named after his daughter. Later, part of the property was given to a niece who built the Colonial style mansion. Elvis bought it in 1957. He added on rooms and redecorated.

On the shuttle bus.

Unfortunately, you can not see the gates very well. They are quite ornate.

Marla loves audio tours.

Wow. Look at the light that is thrown onto the ceiling.

The basic tour does not include the upstairs.

The kitchen. Someone was always on call in case any of the residents or guests were hungry.

Part of the Jungle Room.

The entertainment room in the basement. Elvis would watch three televisions at once.

Marla was dancing to the music that they played during the audio tour.

The Jungle Room later in the tour.

A model of the two-room house in Tupelo where Elvis was born.

From some of the sports that Elvis enjoyed.

From his office.

From his upstairs wardrobe room. There is a radio in the headboard.

The clothes that Elvis and Priscilla wore to their wedding.

Marla has my headphones.

Lisa Marie's playground.

Marla and I shared one audio device. That added a new level of challenge to the tour.

But we did fine.

I'm trying to draw Mark's attention to the man in the next room.

We were behind him for most of the tour.

Some of his many gold records.

Mark with Elvis' Grammies.

His Army clothes.

Clothes from some of his movies.

From Jailhouse Rock.

Movie posters.

There is a girl with a teddy bear in that poster.

From the 1968 TV Special.

This room was amazing. It was almost overwhelming when you walked into it. It used to be the raquetball room.

Look at this wall. It is covered with gold and platinum records.

In the Meditation Garden.

The graves of Elvis, his parents Gladys and Vernon, and his maternal grandmother Minnie Mae are all in the Meditation Garden.

The Lisa Marie jet plane.
